AFSCME COUNCIL 93’s Correctional - LAW Enforcement ConfErence

Saturday, August 14th, 2010 – ROCKPORT, ME

AFSCME Council 93 is pleased to announce the Council's first-ever conference for law enforcement and correctional professionals working within the Council's four-state region. The one-day conference will be held in Rockport, Maine on Saturday, August 14th 2010.

AFSCME law enforcement and correctional members work hard and put their lives on the line each and every day. Working within our states, communities and correctional facilities, these members patrol our streets, guard incarcerated criminals; secure our airports, enforce conservation laws and much, much more.

While these brave men and women share similar concerns and issues with their brothers and sisters across the country, Council 93 recognizes the fact that many other issues and concerns are state or region specific.

As such, we encourage all Council 93 members working in law-enforcement and corrections to join us for this opportunity to network with colleagues and discuss the issues and concerns of law enforcement and correctional professionals across the country and within our four-state region.

The conference is free of charge to all members who wish to attend. However, Local Unions will be responsible for their members' travel/hotel arrangements and costs. A list of hotels in the surrounding areas will be provided to all registered attendees.

If you are interested in attending this one-day conference, please register online.
